‘Tis the season for good friends, family, food and … FITNESS! Don’t be a cliché and “let yourself go around the holidays,” have fun and stay active this holiday season! We took a poll around the office and below are the top 3 activities we love to do with our families around the holidays:
- Take a hike: This one came up over and over – while the turkey is in the oven, take advantage of the crisp autumn weather and go for a hike with your family. Weather it’s a walk around the neighborhood or your local reservoir the fresh air will feel great and it makes for some great bonding time!
- Turkey Day 5K: Find out if there is a 5K in your area and challenge your friends and family to a race! Who doesn’t love a little early morning competition to build up your appetite before the big meal?
- Friendly Football: You don’t even have to go anywhere for this one! Get the gang outside and throw around the football. Whether you make it into a game or not doesn’t matter as long as you get some fresh air, get the blood flowing, and have a good time!
